Bauer Consulting designed and oversaw construction of the Colosseum Court at Mediterra, a recessed tennis court with pergola and terraced viewing area, surrounded by a stone wall and lush landscaping.
It was the winner of 2013 USTA Outstanding Tennis Facility, which recognizes excellence in construction and/or renovation of public and private tennis facilities.
It was also the winner of the American Sports Builders Association Distinguished Outdoor Tennis Facility Award in 2012.
In 2011 Tim Bauer & Bauer Consulting decided to break free of the 'Box' design of most tennis courts with 'The Colosseum Court'.
Taking his inspiration from the Colosseum in Rome, Tim used curves and nature to enhance the player's and spectator's experience.

Overall the creation of the Colosseum Court marks a new chapter in tennis court design, one that will be copied
by future court designers.
